We need a U.S. controlled security zone across the entire border that extends 100 miles deep into Mexican territory. Secure the Mexican industries along the border that support our economy, crush the underground tunnels and overland routes supporting drug and human trafficking, and kill all cartel members that dare to poke their heads out of their hidey holes. I'd call that a good start.

Trump should ask Congress to declare War on the drug cartels like we did against the Barbary Pirates. They won't declare it and that will illustrate why a President has to authorize force on their own.
