Why indict him in the liberal cesspool of NY vs TX, where most of his drugs have come into?

SDNY is a relatively massive office, and he was indicted some time ago, all the way back in Trump '45's administration. Probably wasn't related to politics but where the nexus of the financial/data records collection effort was located.

Maduro was indicted in 2020 by SDNY. This indictment is a superseding indictment.

Florida might be even better than Texas in this case .

With any luck, it will drive Mandami to do something performative and illegal so they can arrest his ass, too.

Given the realities of Mamdani's NYC, the US DOJ needs to start rethinking where it opts to bring these international narco-terrorism indictments.

I wouldn't argue that I prefer it not be there, but Mandan was elected in a 20 percent turnout election by foreign born voters in nyc proper. He doesn't really represent the full city nor greater SDNY area imho.

He was in Gitmo to catch a flight back to NY. He will be arraigned in NY on Monday, as I understand it.

This seems like a huge risk of letting this terrorist walk on the biggest stage imaginable. Their commie mayor, their protests today about letting Maduro free, these people are literally insane.

There is no impartial jury to be found here, let alone the judges. They'll happily let him walk because they hate their own country.

This makes no sense and I think this will be a huge embarrassing failure.

I've been thinking about this. This is what I've figured out. If you live by law and order (Conservatives) and you break the law (or just get close in a twisted view) you go to jail. If you don't live by law and order and you break the law you don't go to jail because those aren't your values or those that assist you from facing punishment.
