Why indict him in the liberal cesspool of NY vs TX, where most of his drugs have come into?

SDNY is a relatively massive office, and he was indicted some time ago, all the way back in Trump '45's administration. Probably wasn't related to politics but where the nexus of the financial/data records collection effort was located.

Maduro was indicted in 2020 by SDNY. This indictment is a superseding indictment.

Florida might be even better than Texas in this case .

With any luck, it will drive Mandami to do something performative and illegal so they can arrest his ass, too.

Well, could be a big mistake. The libs might not convict because 1) they are Marxists and agree with him, and 2) they hate Trump.

Need to avoid all Marxist jurisdictions from now on.

The Feds have a large security apparatus there and a modern detention center designed for high-profile prisoners. El Chapo was tried and convicted there are a few years ago.

Did they read him his Miranda rights?

Honestly, who cares. Let him rot in Gitmo

I wouldn't argue that I prefer it not be there, but Mandan was elected in a 20 percent turnout election by foreign born voters in nyc proper. He doesn't really represent the full city nor greater SDNY area imho.

He was in Gitmo to catch a flight back to NY. He will be arraigned in NY on Monday, as I understand it.

Foreigners do not pay our taxes. They should not be granted the privilege of our court system.

All that "international courts" and "war crimes" has done is hamper the west when engaging in wars against an enemy who couldn't care less about it.

We should recognize the truth: On the international stage, it has always been prison rules and always will be.

Thanks for posting, this is my question too.

This seems like a huge risk of letting this terrorist walk on the biggest stage imaginable. Their commie mayor, their protests today about letting Maduro free, these people are literally insane.

There is no impartial jury to be found here, let alone the judges. They'll happily let him walk because they hate their own country.

This makes no sense and I think this will be a huge embarrassing failure.

ETA: one of the podcasts I listen to had a 2026 prediction that Luigi would be acquitted too. Just sayin.

Oh please. The only way this goes haywire is if DOJ screws it up, and that won't happen here. The group that handles these types of cases aren't the Lindsay Halligan or Alina Habba types. They're seasoned attorneys that know what the **** they're doing.

Deep State has plenty of incentive to suicide Maduro and his wife. See if he/she survive a week while visiting America. If they last they will likely sing like canaries and plenty of Democrats should be worried.

if we don't get him here, I am sure there is another country, maybe Argentina, that has him indicted there as well.

I imagine that Maduro wants to stay in the US jails/legal system as long as he can.

Let's say the DOJ has the best attorneys in the US and all the mountains of hard evidence they need. These jurors are the ones that just elected a socialist to lead them, do you really trust them to convict another socialist no matter the evidence? And do you trust the 92 year old judge that was in on the DJT persecution to run this properly? Seriously?

NYC juries have shown how partisan they are on multiple occasions.

Of all places in the US to try this case, this is probably the place where Maduro is most likely to find a jury of his peers.

LoL, not surprised at your post.

This is a criminal case. At least one of the 12 jurors will be a Marxist who voted for Mamdani. Mamdani says the action was a violation of federal law. The odds of a mistrial are almost a lock.

I've been thinking about this. This is what I've figured out. If you live by law and order (Conservatives) and you break the law (or just get close in a twisted view) you go to jail. If you don't live by law and order and you break the law you don't go to jail because those aren't your values or those that assist you from facing punishment.

I see you share my low opinion of Barnes. It's not so much that he's a bad lawyer because for some things he's okay but he's such a sanctimonious bloviating jerk.

The Biden administration had a $25MM bounty on Maduro before Trump doubled it. But sure, it's going to end up in a mistrial.

What was done in the past by libs doesn't matter. Not one bit.

This is about Trump, and they won't convict this ass wipe because "Trump".

I'll wager $500 to fav charity it is a mistrial or not guilty if it goes to trial.

Eta: this wager must be explicitly accepted by htownag98 and must be set up with a proxy to hold funds before the trial begins. I post this because I had some idiot on the football board who never accepted my bet claiming I owed him after the fact.
