You act like there aren't 100k other Texas kids that wouldn't pay to go to school in those spots. I know plenty of kids that didn't get in due to the competition.

Then work hard and become world class!! </ Boomer advice like I did in my HVAC job>

Comparing the percentages of foreign students at private schools versus public schools is dumb.

Could we not fill those seats with American kids and offset the loss of those fees?

the foreigners presumably pay out of state tuition, so no, unless there are a lot more out of state people that want to pay full freight.

It's about 40k per year for out of state tuition.

Then the costs would drop, better for everyone.

So OP is saying the University should retain the funds even if it comes at the expense of our liberty?

When I was in gradschool my foreign counterparts talked about getting waivers for out of state tuition. I think if they were doing research. Was shocking to me at the time, as were many other things.

Another instance of Americans getting screwed in favor of foreigners and America getting little to nothing to show for it. Splendid!

Do you think those Chinese and Indian students pay out of state tuition? Id love to see how many do.

I'll bet plenty of them game a way into free school or in state tuition eventually and asap after getting enrolled.

It's a State school paid for by our state and Federal tax dollars Primarily. Texas and US citizens First.

I know the Libs love them some fuzzy foreigners, so go visit them at their home country please.

China and India lead the way in terms of number of students.

This just goes to show what a huge financial hit it would be for A&M and most other universities to suddenly not have the ability to enroll foreign students, and particularly students from China. Trump cited that as a reason why he was not going to stop/limit this.

I don't think the $100+ million is worth the loss of proprietary technology and ideas, though. Besides, traffic would be safer in the BCS area.

Case in point - now this was a teacher but still relevant to conversation

Don't think that all these that qualify are better than Americans. Foreigners have learned how to game the system and provide documents that make them look more qualified.
