It appears Crenshaw's law firm knows they have no case after receiving Ryan's law firm's response. So Crenshaw agrees to go on Ryan's show. I'm sure Crenshaw's goal is to discredit Ryan. That's a big ego move that will likely backfire. I've got my popcorn ready!

Crenshaw wasn't ever in development group and most of the top comments and supporters of Shawn Ryan's insta video yesterday were. Shawn is going to eat him alive. No way Crenshaw makes it on the show.

Crenshaw is likely a better talker, bullsh*trer and open dialoguer than Shawn. That's why he's a politician. He will create enough vague aspects of his position to escape without a definitive winner or loser.

I dont know bout that. Ryan is stuck in a binary position to either:

A) Continue to maintain he interprets Crenshaw or his DM as a threat to his safety (makes him lose face).

B) Admit he wasnt really concerned about a threat, but just acted like he was to defend against a legal demand letter (makes him lose face).

Ryan's only real out is just to simply admit he misinterpreted the "my boys at 6" as a threat, but now realizes it was another pathetic attempt by Crenshaw to flex about the real special ops Gs being on his side, not Ryan's.

That alternative option was probably what Ryan would have naturally done, but he yielded to dipshyt lawyers. Sucks for Ryan he is stuck on this defensive victim path, when he could have just demolished Crenshaw.

The lesson in all this is that lawyers ALWAYS put themselves before their clients. Its the reason lawyer jokes are a thing.

Shawn is actually a very gentle interviewer, so I doubt the fireworks really go off too much, but this is still an ideal outcome to the latest Crenshaw tantrum/kerfuffle, in that Ryan will get some ratings boost from the saga and perhaps make some money from it.

I always thought that Crenshaw grew up as a rich kid? Is that not the case?

I don't know the answer to his family wealth, but at one time during Congress, he was getting stock returns higher than Pelosi. That is done via insider information, although it's not prosecutable because he gets it via official government business.

I agree with Sarah. I watch a lot of Shawn Ryan, if this actually happens it may be his toughest interview, he is not smart enough to ask the right questions and dan will snake his way through.

On the Mike Drop podcast a few years ago retired SEALs Mike Ritland and his guest Chris Beck (Kristen at the time) went at each other HARD. Since they respected each other at the end they were talking about where they were going to eat after. (Chris came back a few years later to tell how the government was one of the key reasons he transitioned and how evil it was).

If the podcast happens between Dan and Shawn I think they will either be soft or Shawn will go after him unlike he has ever done with a guest. So far Shawn is being like Rogan in that he is a paper tiger. Don't get me wrong, I think Shawn can tear people up when he wants but chooses not to on his show.

Shawns success is because he gets people to tell their story, asking a few questions along the way to keep that story in motion or to bring out the most interesting or controversial parts and I am confident he has staff that prompts him with the questions. These are willing guests.

Im not a fan Crenshaw, but his stock portfolio and birthday DJ arent the big concerns with him. In the 2020 COVID election steal he was out front and center downplaying the rampant mail ballot fraud. He has chosen his personal brand at every turn and played the vet card anytime he takes heat.

When guys like Glen Greenwald make logical arguements against the US MIC world police, tough guy Dan makes fun of him for never getting in a bar fight. Dan's answer for everything is "its why we havent had another 9/11"....Im disappointed the interview didnt go thru, but doubt Ryan would have gone down the right rabbit holes.
