Yes, it was Highland. It was black owned at the time.

Yes. It's an Austin Community College now.
If you "know someone," you can get a "behind the scenes" tour. There's a lot of stuff left- Journey's racks, Hot Topic shirt shelves, etc. (At least when I "toured" in 2017.)

It was very dark when I lived in Austin in the 1990s.

Once Lakeline Mall opened, I was done with Highland Mall.
