Not sure of the exact wording in the state constitution in California, if they have to be domiciled in Cali when taking the oath, maybe? But should be worth asking the question as it reinforces that he committed mortgage fraud if he asserts he lives in Cali.
There was a time, very long ago now, where fraud, mortgage or whatever, would be an instant disqualifier.
