It really baffles me how folks like this openly attack Trump for their own benefit. Do they realize that they are splitting the party?

Get in line with a winner or these Democrats will win……

Never understood how republicans would rather toot their own horn and let majorities fade…….

It's different in the old Democrat 1960s but the New Democrats are pure evil. You don't like Trump, you hold your nose and wait for the next cycle. The dude wins

They pretend to stand on their version of moral high ground and claim they are acting on principle. Unfortunately, that's not how modern day politics works. Maybe one day in future but I highly doubt it.
Covidians, Communists, CNN, FOX, and all other MSM are enemies of the state and should be treated as such.

Politicians doing things for their own benefit? This was very common in the right pre Trump.

We'll likely see more of this little by little as his exit date in office comes closer.

Or maybe, and I'm just spittballin, our founders designed a system of 3 co-equal branches of government specifically designed to push back against power centralized in any single one.

Trump is splitting the party.

Trump is a loser (polling is horrible)

Tooting your own horn sometimes means standing for things you believe in.

Trumps politics mirror the tactics of the old Democrats. But you don't see that.

Every group has its marginal or partially committed members or its extremes within the group. Carving off a targeted audience of these groups from the whole by establishing or claiming a distinction from the main group in some key aspect or element is an east way to secure an audience and insert yourself as their leader or representative amongst the larger group. Such leaders often get outsize attention and influence if they can assert the claim they can shave off or redirect or suppress a critical margin of support when the two major parties are so closely matched in support and representation.
It also allows for an escape of accountability because it gives room to claim to part with the majority at convenience.

When you realize some of them don't care, and others have that as their goal, it will make sense to you.

What are you some kind of extremist?

Don't you know that you should never challenge Trump?
I will no longer discuss politics with you. I reject your premises and world view. I am finished trying to compromise with you.

Rand Paul is just being a Paul. Nothing new.

MTG just chases dollars and attention. Anyone with an email address that's been shared w/ any GOP fundraising lists gets flooded with fundraising emails from her every time she makes a "bold stand."

Click Culture does not produce predictable philosophies or goals.

Candace is an example of some of the worst that Click Culture produces.

There's a reason that no matter who takes office hardly anything everlasting changes.

They knew what they were doing.

Trump won the election in a landslide so one would think a LOT of folks side with his ideas…….

Then a few republicans can't enjoy the butt whippin of democrats and soon the luster fades.

Time to destroy a party and if you are lucky you can have the democrats in control again

With the exception of Massie, these are some of Trump's biggest supporters - who's changed? Them or Trump?

Still though, meh. Midterms are a long way out and politics is a compromise-based system. If those wheels don't squeak they don't get any grease. If you don't grease those wheels, a huge, unhappy portion of the electorate is going to feel homeless next election. Not complicated.

Not everyone who voted for Trump (like I have, three times) is ride-or-die Trump. I'd vote for him again right now, but I'm also beyond happy people are calling him out for inconsistencies with his campaign trail promises.

you are just now realizing there are "conservative" GRIFTERS who would rather make money for themselves than elect Republicans?!?

Nice way to put it. Just hope that by the next election the squeaking stops as the grease has already been applied or we can go back to transgender world and if we are lucky maybe this time around a few Imams can get in office

I guess there are folks out there that have to have every campaign promise fulfilled or they are done with Trump. Like they want 100% fulfillment.

I know there is no way to have 100% but damn, Trump at 60% is a helluva lot better than democrats running our country again.

I take issue with the premise of this statement. 2 things can be true at once - 1) Trump is deserving of some criticism, and 2) such criticism could benefit the one dealing it out. I don't really care about #2 - every politician does it, INCLUDING Trump. And #1 is true of Trump...and pretty much every other politician out there as well.

When you put your elected officials on a pedestal and make them immune to critique you are asking for trouble. End of story. Has nobody learned their lesson yet? Are we doomed to make the same stupid mistakes over and over?

Rand Paul is a committed libertarian. As frustrating some of his actions can be, seen through that lens, we need 50 more of him in the Senate.

When you're talking about people who only like to vote based on their feels, the answer, sadly, is always going to be yes.

If Trump implemented Paul's and Massie's ideas fiscally, the Swamp would be drained.
