Haven't they had one for a while in reality. That place is run like a socialist hellhole and has been for decades. That once beautiful city is a complete ****ing dump!

These have been Commie cities for a long time. It's just the people running for office have removed their masks and are open about who they are. This is the beginning of their "revolution". Antifa and other similar orgs are their foot soldiers. Terrorists/snipers, etc. are their point men on the street. They know exactly who they are, how they operate, and coordinate their efforts.

Rich kids who have done it all, so power is what's on their list, especially if they have no religious background,morals, or no repercussions for poor choices. They get their strokes through dumbasses who praise them. And the nerdy or goth or misfit who has gift of gab find politics as a way to lift themselves up and power makes their lives, and is way to get back at society for rejecting their wierd ways (their code word: "mean"- which of course resonates with females!!)
Both are awkward and always self serving. Not many in politics want to be of some help, but want to be somebody.

For those of us old enough to remember, it used to be a common pop culture trope that the Pacific Northwest was and would be ground zero for all of the right wing nut jobs.

It's funny how reality has turned out to be the complete opposite. Looking back, that was probably typical projection by the left. Accuse others of what you are doing.

I don't think you can say that from the results in odd year elections. What you can say for certain is that the dynamic regarding low propensity voters has flipped over the last 30 years. Back then, it was conservative voters (typically middle class and up, higher proportion of college degrees) who turned out in every election, while liberals (the poor and minorities) only turned out some of the time. Now, the most faithful voters are white liberals who turn out for everything, and whereas conservatives have to depend on the working class.

So, even if overall voter sentiment doesn't change one bit from 2024, you can expect the Democrats to do better in the midterms than they did in 2024 because of this turnout dynamic.

Both Katie Wilson and Zohran Mamdani are spoiled rich kids, who do not have any professional accomplishments whatsoever. This is the beginning of Marxist "revolution." My dad and I went to Seattle on 3/22/2024, and even just spending a few hours in downtown by the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle was enough see how it has devolved into a hellhole. We skied at Whistler Blackcomb for 3 days and then spent one day and night in Vancouver. On our drive back to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, we explored Seattle for several hours before flying back to San Jose.

When everything you have is given to you by government, you are easy to control because they can always take it away.
