Do you know anything about her voting record? Her heritage score was 51%. I believe she was the most liberal, or in the top three, of all Republicans in Congress.


She would be great for New York, because she is much better than any democrat. But I don't want her anywhere near making policy for the entire country!

These last two comments about NY voters are not necessarily true. New York does not equal NYC when it comes to lunatic leftists. See the trends in Nassau and Suffolk counties (Long Island). Westchester is still pretty bad and the inner cities of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, etc as well though. Lee Zeldin (current EPA head appointed by Trump) got within 6 percentage points of Hochul in 2022.

UNLESS New York state by next fall is terrified by what is unfolding in New York City (should it go a more London direction like have seen with the first vandalisms and demonstrations) Best cure for that is the opposite party.

She should well outperform Lee Zeldin, who got close enough they had a guy stab him.

Pretty sure that it's going to be a crowded field. Mike Lawler is angling to jump in too. He bills himself as "Mr SALT".

Chaos in NYC would certainly be a big issue, but the Dem playbook in this one is pretty straightforward since she is such a close Trump ally. Now if the economy is booming next year that would help all republicans

Not objecting to states setting a minimum time before transplants can vote. Maybe it should also go for cities. When you move to a place, you are first a glorified guest. You should have to learn a bit about it before seeking to change it or having the power to.
