New York will become the image of Gotham City IMO

The early history of New York of immigrants flowing into the city, massive construction jobs, factories, international shipping and the growth of business to provide jobs for those immigrants. The city naturally had Italians, Irish, German and Asian districts……which all contributed cultural aspects of where they came from.

Now how will this new Gotham City will evolve. I would certainly leave and move my family out of there. It only stands to reason that NGO's, and other entities designed to tap into federal grants and other subsidies will relocate there. Not sure which immigrants will be shifted to fill the void but I will guess mostly African, North African Muslims will move there. Criminals will certainly go there, as well as cartels to enjoy special protection by the local police departments.

The exciting part is we get to see how a large city will change under a leftist agenda, led by a socialist. Plenty of historical context about how that never ends well.

The MSM will prop this regime up. They'll make it look like it's a great success. Most people will have no idea what's really happening until it's way too late.

Just wondering if Democrat billionaires are exempt, they always seem to be not mentioned.

Why is everyone here suddenly so obsessed with who liberals in the northeast choose for their mayor?

These odds of that having any real, noticeable effect on a conservative in Texas is pretty low.

I think there are two views:
It's cancerous condition and it will spread over time and the body dies.
It's an open would that will attract bacteria that will cause spreading rot and gangrene and the body dies.

Except here, for the cancer or infection to spread, it would require more parts of the country to vote for it. It's not like the spread of communism by force in the Cold War.

If it's as bad as you say it will be, it will self-correct or at least self-contain in an election cycle or two.

Maybe because NYC is the largest and historically the most significantly important city in the U.S. It is the country's financial capital (although diversification has already begun).

It also represents the USA in the minds of many people in other countries. Telling someone one in another country that New York City is being run by a Muslim is akin to telling them the country has fallen.

I mean, have you considered that maybe one way to stop the backlash against Republicans is for Republicans to stop doing such a bad job and acting like cartoon villains?

The places it's happening all want free **** and will vote for anyone that promises that. It's because they suck at life so they need their SNAP and housing subsidies and want even more. They also promise to stick it to the rich even though most people don't pay close to their fair share while the "rich" pick up the slack for moochers.

So Islamic communism is the result of Rs doing a bad job. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Mamdani was not elected as a backlash against Rs. I guess you weren't aware that he was running against Cuomo, a flaming liberal! Libs have been in charge of NYC for 25 years!

In the Virginia races., Trump got more votes than all those candidates. The Rs didn't show up. But yeah, backlash!

The thing you have to remember when you look at Biden's approval ratings is that the Democrat base hated him too. So his disapproval numbers came mostly from non-swing voters from both ends.

Whereas Trump's disapproval comes only from the left and center, meaning he's alienating many swing voters.

The people are also tired of being taken advantage of by a bloated government and their trillions of wasted spending on bull**** while those politicians line their pockets with millions of dollars.

I have a third view.
He doesn't deliver on his promises to his voters, NYC crime increases, housing gets worse, and the economy tanks resulting in a NYC that looks like it did in the 1970s after the disastrous time with John Lindsay mayor. As a result, it starts to show people who support him of the evils of socialism which those of us olds saw first hand with the USSR and Iron Curtain.

I am glad he won because it will put in motion a great educational experience for our youth that they need to see.

The city will be reduced down to SNAPrican Americans from third world ****holes from all over the world and EBTlegal Aliens and after a few years, there will be no more of other people's money to steal to placate them and crime will be so high that nobody will want to police that ****hole, especially when the mayor actively hates them.

Gotham City indeed.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

This is the only true part of your post. Watch other big city elections over the next ten years. This is going to be a ripple effect and will take generations to course correct.

Hated his so much they nominated him a second time?

Trump is doing what the voters elected him to do, and we're happy with that. This course correction isn't an easy one, Trump knows what it takes to get it done in 4 years, hence the fever pitch of changes.

Um, I was talking about Biden. Did you forget he won the nomination of the democrat party? It's easy to forget since he was pushed aside regardless of your vote.

Well he was the incumbent and had no serious challenger. Several of the primaries were even cancelled because no challenger managed to meet the requirements to get on the ballot. Want much of a choice, but many Democrats were very unhappy he ran again.
