I heard a reframe that I'm still chewing on: women are inherently conservative OF THEIR STATUS QUO. Effectively: modern women are simply reflecting an amplified version of 90s & 00s men. Because women arrange themselves within complex social hierarchies, the ones who claw to the top oppose disruption.

I'm not sold that this is completely true. Smartphones & social media have had civilizationally impactful effects, but it's compelling.

And it means that men of the squishy right have been highly culpable for our current predicament.

However, dismantling our Christian heritage or trying to displace our foundational Christian principles with Sharia, is totally different. Thats an offense that requires immediate action. Seeing as how the UK is the size of Oregon, I'd rest easily knowing that our great great great great great grandchildren have nothing to worry about to that happening in this country. And that's IF the everything falls in line in the house, senate, SC, and who knows what else to actually get to that point.

Regarding the driver's seat part of it, yes, that was an observation Rush was making not infrequently in his later years. Also (and agree) that the feminized MSM had become itself the real Democratic Party and drives of the Left agenda along with the campuses. The DNC more reacting than leading the narrative.

I just went to a fundraiser for the women's Republican party at my local county. Hate to break it to you, but they were all white. 100%. Conservative and red ass too.

It's not white women that are the problem, it is liberals that are the problem.

You are being too harsh. Many of us thought the reaction to 9/11 was precisely upside down TSA going after obvious American types, the grandmother stereotype actually happening, and refusing to `profile.' No deportations of obvious Islamists. Also fretting about Islmaphobia. But you have to look at the lack of choices. People keep forgetting before Trump almost no one ran on an anti-MSM and get tough on the borders and influx question. Hell, even during a WAR, Bush was wanting to make the border more porus -- remember that coalition of right wingers including Rush lining up against him? The 911 war never fought in post Pearl Harbor fashion.

Voted in Virginia last night.

Republican Party either picked a dud to run as Governor, or they did a very poor job at helping her. At first blush, IMO she wasn't very well supported.

The challenge here in Virginia is there is a large illegal alien population here…..so you know where those votes went. Saw where black votes went 9 to 1 for Blue. Then there are a ton of hurt, feeling sorry for themselves government workers who all mostly voted for blue.

It was almost a no win situation.

Republicans need to end the filibuster……Democrats will end it if they get into office and use it to their advantage. Do it now, get the government back up and let's get back to cutting government.

I was against illegal immigration but it took awhile for the true magnitude of illegal immigration plus legal immigration plus all the guest programs that often turn into legal immigration in combination to become apparent. We are definitely bringing in more looters and dependents than contributors and we can't afford it.

Muslims don't share their faith. They impose it.

Mecca isn't really the problem. The problem is our and Europe's tolerating violent activists. Ask Hollywood about what Saudi does to their anti-crown activists. There is a reason Bin Ladin was way away in Afghanistan.

In Mideast history, the rulers have generally simply removed such violent agitators. And contrary to some impressions, the Mideast states governed by strong men didn't too often start wars of jihad with Europe. Carter's handling of Iran made that into a special (disastrous) case.

Notice Obama's destabilization of Syria, Libya, and Egypt all produced greater threat. Egypt fortunately self-corrected.

We keep looking overseas when the problem is what the ruling class permits regarding Islamists. UK is an even better example of this currently.

There is no "separation of church and state" mentioned in the Constitution. It prevents the government from establishing a religion or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. It doesn't say anything about total separation. Big difference.

It's crazy, the last two times I was THIS affected by anything politically were the Charlie Kirk assassination and the attempt on Trump in Butler, PA. I never thought I would care so much about who won mayor of NYC but here we are. And it's not that I really care about NYC per se...it's the "canary in the coal mine".
