Anecdote time...

My daughter got tasked with bringing cookies for a choir party at school so my wife and I made a quick store trip. From the look of the cookie/chips aisle you would have thought hurricane Melissa was about to hit us. It was 90% cleared out on Tuesday night. It didn't dawn on me at the time that on Saturday the freebies get shut down.

Charity should go to Jamaica - this is the exact situation that warrants it. We should all be giving with our resources to those in need due to circumstances beyond their control.

Doesn't need to be the government though (where some try to be charitable with OTHER PEOPLE'S resources).



Don't really see the case at all for government sponsored reallocation of resources to those who choose not to be productive enough here to feed themselves

Whats wild about this is that a human who's actually scared about starvation would be using this last installment to maximize shelf stable calories. Rice. Beans. Oatmeal. Peanut butter. Etc.
