YESTERDAY, Texas AG Ken Paxton announced that radical doctor May Lau has SURRENDERED her medical license after getting sued for prescribing dangerous "gender transition" drugs to CHILDREN.

According to Paxton, she kept giving illegal, cross-sex, "transition" hormones even after they were illegal in Texas.

If proved, I hope he renders her destitute, in prison, and any employers much poorer.

Bad enough when a vulnerable young adult heads down this path; they usually come out much worse for it. But, they are adults.

Doing it to children is just despicable.

A Blue State will have no problem letting her practice in their State unless she goes to Jail, which I doubt she does.

She's peacing out to Oregon according to her attorney. Her license was canceled by request on 10/9, and last January she entered into an agreement in the lawsuit to not practice medicine on any patients (while continuing in academic, administrative and research settings as a professor at UT Southwestern).

You'd think that would have been the big win, but I guess her requesting to cancel her license she no longer used (so the AG could have a press release to spike the ball about her request) had pretty good settlement value. Otherwise why would she bother.

It will be interesting to see if Paxton continues to pursue the case as his office avows or does a Bush Mission Accomplished and dismisses once enough time passes to plausibly deny linkage to the superfluous surrender (and surreptitious settlement).
