A sworn-in, full-blown officer patrolling the streets of suburban Chi-raq!! But NOOOOOO...there's no vetting problem in liberal states that dumb down their requirements!

ICE arrests illegal alien sworn in as suburban Chicago police officer: 'Pritzker's Illinois'

Quote:

Radule Bojovic overstayed tourist visa by a decade, was approved for police pension in January 2025, DHS says

Quote:

An Illinois police officer living in the United States illegally has been arrested by immigration authorities, the Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday.

Radule Bojovic, an illegal immigrant from Montenegro who was working as a sworn police officer with the Hanover Park Police Department, was taken into custody during Operation Midway Blitz, which targets illegal immigrants living in Illinois because of the state's sanctuary policies, federal officials said.

Quote:

"It's a felony for aliens to even possess a firearm a law enforcement officer who is actively breaking the law," she added. "Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE is restoring law and order. Criminal illegal aliens have no place in our communities, especially on our police forces."

There have to be consequences for hiring an alien into a law enforcement group.

You're ****ting me right?! An illegal alien passed the background check in Illinois to be given authority over citizens of a country he's not even legally in!! They gave an illegal alien a firearm and a pension!!

How the **** is it not a good thing he was caught and arrested?!

Possession of a firearm or ammunition by an illegal alien is a 15 year federal felony. Non immigrants also cannot possess a firearm or ammunition. At no point during his time in the US even when he was in status could he legally possess a firearm.

Edit: he could never pass a NICS check to get a gun and whoever in that dinky ass department that gave him the gun should be charged federally.

What about the one he was issued by the government agency that he worked for?

I understand that there are federal laws that are in play here. But he was working for the government for the public good. Aliens do serve in our military. They bear arms there.

Again, I understand that this is the law. But don't think it is a good thing.

Whoever gave him the gun in the department could also be charged federally and they should. The Trump DOJ should break it off in the Illinois state and local government.

Non immigrants and illegals are not permitted to serve in the US armed forces.

Especially since most law enforcement agencies issue firearms to their officers. FBI and ATF need to investigate Hanover Park Police Department.

Those are permanent resident aliens. NOT non immigrants or illegals. Engage your common sense.

Edit: your link specifically states it under who cannot serve. Non immigrants and illegals. Did you read it?

Is there any indication that this guy was a mole working secretly for the mob? Or for a criminal enterprise? If so I think it's good that he was removed. If not I stand by my earlier statement.

Tom my common sense is engaged. Being a cop in Illinois can't be easy. If this guy was doing the job adequately I still think it's an overreach.

But I don't have any more time for this debate. Y'all have fun.

Under federal law, it is illegal for an illegal or undocumented immigrant to own or possess a firearm. This prohibition is a long-standing regulation that applies regardless of whether the individual has committed any other crimes.

The law that criminalizes this offense is 18 U.S. Code 922(g)(5)

But sure, let the illegal alien have a firearm.

It seems to be clear now that the ICE protests by state and local officials in Illinois, California, and New York have a LOT more to do with issues other than just politics. These guys have their hands dirty in many activities: they've hired illegals for years for everything from their home cleaning people to their personal staffs at the agencies they work for. They're deathly afraid of being found out about. They can sell their useful idiot voters on the idea of "not breaking up families" or "Trump is a dictator..." but trying to justify their own personal gain is going to be far more difficult.

This is no longer JUST about illegals voting and the human trafficking money machine remaining in place. Those may be the most important factors, but never underestimate the protests of people that are trying to keep their ass out of jail -- or at least, info coming out that would jeopardize their political career.

Of course not. He runs away as soon as facts are presented.

In no world is it morally or ethically defensible to have someone enforcing the laws when they are breaking them by their very presence, and it's laughable to suggest otherwise.

If he had been working for the public good in his own f'n country, this wouldn't be an issue.

He's an illegal alien. As in, it's not legal for him to be inside of our borders. No, there's not an excuse for it. What is so hard to understand about that?

I'd like to know if there was a pool of candidates when he got this position and who was displaced for this illegal. Of course, the way the left has demonized law enforcement perhaps there weren't any other applicants but the overall point remains, we don't need illegals taking jobs of American citizens.

It's in the article. They did a background check and his immigration status was not flagged. ATF cleared him to receive a firearm.

But that just proves that governmental agencies are inefficient and don't perform their jobs very well.

Anyone who's saddened by this should go get caught with a firearm in literally any country on earth where you overstayed your visa. Will be super educational so make sure to send us the link where we can like and subscribe.

Everyone is good with this guy getting arrested and deported. He overstayed a visa, he took a job away from a citizen, and it's always a bit tricky when those tasked with enforcing the law have a pretty huge issue with being unable to follow the law.

Plenty of things this guy could have done to seek to rectify his immigration status. Instead, he lied and kept lying.
