To piggyback, porn feeds a desire to be selfish. It is a completely selfish act. With that being the case there is no "healthy" or "better" way to consume it. AI or not.
Just curious, why is it selfish?
If Steve is single, cannot or does not want to go get a date and uses AI, why is he selfish? He isn't bothering anyone and isn't doing anything illegal.
(assuming no kiddie stuff)
Your definition of selfish is dependent on the harm of others in the act. I think that is too narrow.
Porn is selfish because an individual only does it for their own gratification. It reinforces behavior of seeing other people as a means of self gratification.
Sex, done in the proper setting, is about providing gratification to a committed spouse. The goal being for both persons to come to orgasm at the same time for shared pleasure. It reinforces that working together well leads to high pleasure. Which is true in sex and also in life.
To "piggyback" on InfinityAg:
If I am at home alone I decide to read a book. Selfish?
I have a glass of wine by myself. Selfish?
I play a chess game against the computer. Selfish?
I guess yes (and bad), because it is only done for my own gratification. Or does that only apply to sex?
Now, I am 14 again (god forbid) and masturbate. Selfish? It is an understatement to think your idea of sex is simplistic and unrealistic. If you have kids do you think that they did not orgasm until their wedding night?
Nothing I can remember in say the bible that says anything about orgasming together. I masturbate my wife to orgasm and am too tired to orgasm myself. Selfish?
I think it is exactly the opposite of selfish.
Every act we do is in some sense selfish.
I enjoy making my wife happy, is that bad because it gives pleasure to myself?
And if you really want to talk about stupid ideas (IMO) start on Corinthians 7.
