All living hostages have been released. As far as I'm concerned, the Palestinian experiment has failed. Hamas shows they have no interest in peace or surrender. All they did was buy themselves time.

Hamas disarming was not a requirement for Phase I of the peace plan. That was a key part of getting Phase I pushed through. My own speculation based on news snippets.

Phase II involves Hamas disarming and where the impasse lies, mostly.

Anyone with knowledge of these inbred morons knows they will not disarm, and at that point, I believe all bets are off and Israel goes back in to eliminate Hamas.

Nothing that happened prior to the deal being signed counts.

Let Hamas and the other Palestinians kill each other off.

I think the point is to alienate Hamas, and shut up the "free Palistine" idiots. Whether the Palestinians will rise up and fight, we'll need to see. Israel got back the remaining hostages, so Hamas has no more leverage.

The Jerusalem Post posted the video...all the way up till they were executed. What's crazy is the crowd...didn't seem like anyone wanted it to stop.

If they don't comply with the terms, then the terms ALL the other signees agreed to require the terms to be enforced against the will of Hamas. Perhaps they do not understand this: if Hamas doesn't comply, then Israel may be free to go right back in and utterly wipe them out to a man to enforce the terms of the treaty.

I think it is spelled Dughmush Clan.

Seeing the Klan reference makes me think of white robes and pointy hats and torches.

From the reporting, a inter-Palestinian power struggle broke out right after the cease fire was signed with Dughmush related fighters ambushing Hamas and Hamas in turn raiding and killing large numbers of that Clan's home grown militia.

Agree. Hopefully when they FA going forward we can just fund the weapons and won't have to get our military's boots on the ground to do the job. We're about to see if all of these other leaders in the Middle East that were present yesterday are going to hold up their end of the bargain. That will be the real tell.

This was likely to plan all along in my opinion. Put the peace plan out there and get the hostages back and tell them they have to disarm and when they don't obliterate them because they know they won't.

So do we start the pool now on how long it takes Hamas to violate the treaty again? I'm thinking about 2 years.

The only real way to stop Hamas is a civil war inside Gaza and for their own residents to displace them. That or total obliteration like was done to Japan in WW2 and we all know there is no will for either and Hamas will survive like the cockroaches they are.
