It's certainly statistically possible, here's a hypothetical for math purposes:

If:
10,000 people
300 are Pakistani
300/10,000 = 3%

There are 100 people with genetic birth defects, 30 are them Pakistani
30/100 = 30%

Robinson misconstrued a finding that 30% of congenital abnormalities have a known consanguinity connection in that population. That's vastly different than what he said.

Gut feeling is you're right on the math but that doesn't change the fact that clearly the rate of birth defects is higher amongst the Pakistani population in the UK than it is among the white population. How do we know that? Because the UK government has publicly defended incest and we know rates of incest are significantly higher in that population than anywhere else in the world. Like most all western governments they're primarily focused on hiding the disaster that is their immigration policies even to the point lying to their own citizens about the color of the sky. In this case the UK government is lying to protect their Muslim immigrants.

That was a long website article that I did not make it all the way through, but I do not think it's that simple of a replacement of Mormon for Muslim. The Paki's have lived in a culture where the average person might not have ever traveled more that 100 miles from home until fairly recently. Mormons as a whole have had the advantages that western society has provided in the from of cars, air travel and relatively easy movement from one town to another. I am not saying that Mormon's are not drawing out of a smaller gene pool but no way that is similar to arranged marriage in tiny villages/towns in Pakistan where there's common ancestry throughout.
ETA: I am not mormon, LDS or any of that stuff.

Mormons/LDS have to be one of the higher functioning demographic groups out there. If they're inbred then they hide it well

Say what you want about the Catholic Church, but its decision to outlaw sibling/cousin marriage is arguably the most important event in the history of human social/societal development. It's right up there with the development of agriculture and stone/metal tools.

Most people just don't realize how different the parts of the world affected by that decision were afterward. It fundamentally changed almost everything about people interact with each other and the concept of community, as well as dramatically expanded our genetic potential as a species. Everything good we associate with the western enlightenment and the modern world was made possible by that decision 1500 years ago.
