I say heck yeah! No income ceiling on the subsidies.
Did a rightist just agree with the Dems?
This is not a right or left issue. No one wants any spending cuts. This benefits the middle class.
Might as well get some benefits before it collapses. It's like having a glass of $1000 bubbly on the deck of the Titanic before she goes under.
How does this benefit the middle class, and there are plenty of people that want spending cuts.
If you don't work for a company that provides insurance and you are not eligible for Medicare, then your options are ACA, Medishare, or possibly other esoteric plan that I haven't found yet. So, small business owners, sole proprietors, any other gig where you can't find a pool of like people to get an insurance plan.
Also see this...Democrats have the R's over a barrel on this one topic:
Quote:
Of the 75 congressional districts where at least 10% of the population is enrolled in the Affordable Care Act, 62 are in red-leaning Florida, Georgia and Texas, according to Kaiser Family Foundation, a healthcare-policy think tank. More than half of the 62 districts in those states are represented by Republicans.
ACA is extraordinarily expensive though. I priced it out for my wife and I (51 and 49). Looking at $1,300 to $1,500 per month in premiums with a $13-15K annual deductible.
This is why the R's are going to cave on it.
