The answer is you can't. But we aren't going to fight back in the same way--our religious views won't allow that. We are letting God have the vengeance. It's why we must get right with Him as these dark times continue. Our lives aren't better than what Heaven promises, so killing someone as revenge isn't going to play for those of us with a Judeo-Christian mindset.

Look, if you want to go pick up your rifle and shoot back, nothing is stopping you from doing that, tough guy. But that action will have severe repercussions in this life and the next. It isn't war, even if you feel like it is. Once that it is, then you have free will to defend your life accordingly. But right now, I don't see anything the folks on my side are going to do to fight back physically/violently. We aren't leftists or Muslims, ideologies that let you kill people and feel justified. But again, if you feel differently, you can easily lead that charge--it's just that way more people on the right have a lot more to lose if they do the same thing, both while alive and after death.
