More broadly, I don't like the general consensus that a person (even a platformed person) can't speak their mind due to "consequences." We say "Free Speech" of course that means freedom from government restricting it. But, on the "consequences" side, this is essentially private enterprise regulating "free speech." (if you are scared of being fired from a job in which you made a comment not on company time, your speech is being severely limited).

I understand this is a difficult question. I just don't like the vibes. Eventually, everyone will be scared to say anything.

The right is sick of getting shot at. And they are trying to send the clearest message possible that the left needs to monitor the way its communicating. Period. We will make it very clear if the administration goes to far and reign them in, but right now we need to find how far we can tighten the screws.
