UNT has a general acceptance rate of around 79% to 81.4% for its main campus in Denton. For the UNT Dallas campus, the acceptance rate is 94%.

One gets guaranteed admission to with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Good place for rejects of most other legitimate Texas schools to go.

Yet not every kid who grew up in a conservative family (like nearly everyone on F16) turned into a monster.

Either the kid had weak ass jeans to where he couldn't go through college without being told what to think or weaker ass parents who failed at preparing him for the real world.

And, hells to the yes in that kids need to be armored up and set in their opinions to not fall into sheep mentality. I mean, if things happen on their own accord, that's one thing, but to just fall into whatever just because. That's on the parents IMHO.

True story. A class of students at my kids' high school went to UNT on college visit. While there they saw a group of furries. Several of the high school kids started barking and meowing at the furies. UNT officials directed the college visit to end and escorted the class off campus. On the way back to the high school, school leadership received a call from UNT informing that the high school was no longer welcome on the UNT campus.

Kids in university that post this should be expelled for encouraging violence. End of story. There have to be consequences for this type of rhetoric. Platitudes like "political violence is unacceptable" do nothing to solve the problem.

You have the right to believe and espouse hateful ideas. You do not have the right to incite political violence, which is what these people are doing. Without consequences, nothing will change.

Agreed. Crazy how many letters I have seen posted from Texas School districts saying "we are aware of a teacher in our districts comments and we are looking into it, she the comments do not reflect our values" the last 2 days.

Any organization with their crap together (while making new hires) should scour the applicant's social media as part of the hiring process.

A company needs to know who they are taking a chance on. Do they do this?
