Sentenced to 27 years in prison for an attempted coup.

Brazil's supreme court is pretty corrupt, or at least highly partisan

Will be interesting to see if theres any rioting that occurs. Below is protest supporting bolsonaro in the past

Also, the current president was convicted of corruption for money laundering and fraud and sentence to jail. His charges were annulled.

Wonder how much USAID money went to help the communist win in 2022.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Some Latin American governments (like Brazil) still have functional checks and balances. In Honduras, the Supreme Court was able to remove a corrupt president who overstepped his authority (a leftist by the way).

You may not like it (and that would seem an understatement), but what happened in Brazil was democracy actually functioning.

They've got plenty of people who remember the country being a military dictatorship. So they are pretty sensitive to things like attempted coups

The SCOTUS equivalent in Brazil is so corrupt, it makes Biden look like Billy Graham.

Their chief Justice is the defacto ruler of the country. He is an extremely evil Commie *******.

The commies tried to do this to President Trump over Jan 6th but failed because their lies wouldn't stick. Them they tried to have him assassinated.

If Bolsonaro was somehow found not guilty he would have been assassinated but their government is stacked with corruption so they didn't have to use that option, yet.

And over in Europe they arent even trying to have sham trials. They are assassinating everyone who poses a threat to the commies over there.

Yes. Probably a great deal. White House needs to declassify and expose any that did, maybe trigger something down there against it.

Tariffs. We need to take out Maduro. Send a message

Stop the BS get uncover agents in there, pin point his location, routines, and bomb his ass. Just like we need to do to all the cartels. Take out his loyal generals.

Bomb all their military equipment while we're at so they cannot control the population any longer

He's basically asking for it with his drugs and flying his jets close to our airspace

We housed the Shah for a while to Iran's subsequent leaders' dismay, and sheltered the Turkish Islamic cult guy Gulen and his patch of Eden in Pennsylvania much to the dismay of Turkish Islamic cult guy Erdogan.

Bolsonaro could probably kick rocks here given current management notwithstanding extradition understandings.

Getting him out though is going to take that North Korea listening device crew if available.

Trump exempted aerospace. He could hammer that and Embraer would feel a tremendous impact (Avelo just ordered 50-100 E195E2's), unless they release him and the US agrees to take him as a refugee.

Ha! thx!

Imprisoning an out of power political figure on "attempted coup" charges doesn't scream "banana republic" at all and is totally saving democracy. Half the country is protesting / rioting but good job, Brazilian comrades, at saving the country from "fascism".

Agree. Reinstating forcefully the Monroe Doctrine and Roosevelt Corrolarys has always made more sense than all the meddling with Ukraine and NATO since the early-1990s change in global realities. He should just be driven out with not much more fanfare than Bush Sr. did Noriega.
