Buc-ee's doesn't sell gas, they sell time. Always a gas pump available, toilet waiting, and cashier ready to take your money

Hell of a fat finger there, or a subconscious head nod to Becky Beard (from BA's past)?

Wait. Had to google this. So there's some facebook chatter that the Beav may have been involved in the disappearance and death of his ex gf?

Kind of. I've been following the Becky Beard case for a little bit now, they still periodically go out and do digs along 2004 but have never found anything.

She and Beaver were sort of involved when she disappeared, but not exclusive from what I can tell and have read. She had his name in her planner, either they had gone out on a few dates or were going to. The whole story is pretty captivating, including the fact that the guy that copped to murdering her had no ties to her at all and nobody ever put his name as being seen with her the night she disappeared.

They need to put a Buc-ee's at Hwy 59 and I-37. If any of the Live Oak county government knew their ass from a hole in the ground they would be kissing ass to get this done. Every gas station from 1604 in SA to downtown corpus might as well be an outhouse.

Why is she behind the wheel?

For me, my wife drove long distances more than I did. Because driving is a waste of time, I work for a living, and laptops work well in the passenger seat.

Interesting. The Buc-ees off of exit 408 in Sevierville, Tennessee is owned by the Cherokee nation.

But they're a real Indian tribe.

The Indians do not own the Buc-ee's. They own the land

Buc-ees does not franchise.

They likely lease the land from the Cherokee. The Cherokee might even own the building, which, again, Buc-ees might lease. But, Buc-ees owns all of it's own stores / businesses.

That's what I meant in my post. My apologies for not clarifying.

As a follow-up, I would be surprised if Buc-ees owns the building.

I'm quite sure it's a ground lease. Very common in retail and given Buc-ee's insistence on control, they wouldn't lease a building.

Guarantee you that Beaver isn't building a building, pumps, etc. that he doesn't own. I'd be shocked if he didn't own the land as well. Indians can sell land just like anybody else. If not, you know it's an ironclad lease for a long duration.

Not always. The tribe owns reservation lands jointly.

In retail I have seen 99 year land leases and 99 year building leases where a developer built the building based on retail customer specs but the building was owned by the land owners.

But, then again, I haven't been in that industry for over 2 decades.

As noted above, also likely that Buc-ees owns the land outright, even if it is in NA jurisdiction.

I haven't done any research on the particular property, I just know that there is close to a zero percent chance that Buc-ees doesn't own the business.

I love Praseks! Kinda like a meat market that hired Bass Pro as the interior designer. Great steaks and sausage.

better quality food and better pricing. More like a Old time smokehouse, bakery and meat market, with the same clean restrooms

This product from Praseks is the tits. Makes the meat products that come from bucees seem like dogfood.

The land is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Give me on at the I-37/3006 (30-06 if you are a local!) exit. The I-37/97 exit is full, but give me one within shooting distance of Pleasanton!
