How efficient is this going to be. Are we hitting ships out of Columbia, Panama, Mexico, All of the Caribbean?

I am all for killing Narcos but there is
Supply and Demand. US is the number 1 demand of Drugs.

Only way to stop the flow is mass deaths of our drug addicts. Sorry it's the truth.

Would not mass withdrawal accomplish the same thing.

Making people not want drugs is very difficult. Making drugs very expensive to abuse is a lot easier to accomplish.

Who is paying for that?

Take away the drugs and they will all just drink alcohol. Until a complete overhaul of the addiction recovery system takes place, addiction will continue to be an issue.

Bruh, you can make it expensive as you want and some dude if going to make the next alternative and get folks hooked for years before LEOs and the DEA catch up.

See the stories about the guys who made X, fentanyl, meth, etc. Friggin genius chemists who Heisenberg the stuff.

Researching the least harmful ways for people to get high is much more effective than anything else. Better drugs, not less drugs.

How much of that is produced locally vs. imported? The fentanyl is from China, no? Sink ships until there is none left to sink.

Legalization and taxation isn't going to take drugs off of the street. It is too ingrained into culture to buy drugs off the street. You aren't going to get rid of the thug street level distributor.

Not sure how you pull an addict off the street without denying a right.

Making the drug expensive only slows consumption or abuse a little bit.

I recently went to an all you can eat and all you can drink event at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The "price" per drink is now over $17 for a 12 ounce Stadium beer.

Did the price slow the demand? Not much if any.


But, the one thing that killed off my desire to abuse alcohol was the lack of servers and the processing time for the available servers.

I could get a $17 beer "for free" but, I had to wait in a 10-15 minute long line to get a "free" beer.

As a result, over the course of 3 quarters of a preseason NFL game, I was only able to manage about 5 drinks. If I was getting adequate service, I might have had 10 drinks - even at $17/beer.


Killing the supply is one part.
Decreasing demand is another part.

What I observed at SoFi was, if you severely limit the distribution, that can have a strong effect on killing off demand because people won't want to jump through all the hoops to get a "free" drug.

It's not that much more expensive to produce local, it's just riskier to do it when you don't have govt run labs

Saw the chatter on twitter about US ships heading towards Venezuela over the weekend.

Take them all down. But they are like snakes, cut one head off and another one spawns up.

I agree with you but could an unintended consequence be increased crime/robbery/theft to help pay for the increased cost illegal drugs?

So the US military just took out a drug boat that sailed from Venezuela. It's not clear if the Navy took it out ship to ship or maybe the AF via a drove. Either way the boat is blown to bits in what is being described as a "lethal" and "precision" hit.

Anyone really think that is not a deterrent?

Trump declared the narcos are terrorist organizations and he's treating them as such.
