South Carolina has already officially announced an "all clear" and removed the shelter in place. It was a hoax.

Is this the 3rd or 4th of these "active shooter" alerts for college campuses in the past week? All turn out to be false. Random, or connected?

All were hoaxes, although the USCe one was likely someone thought they saw a gun and panicked.

We've been having hoax mass shooter calls for the past 4-5 years now. Most target K-12 schools, but they happen on college campuses as well.

Many come from overseas, specifically India.

We'll probably see them start up again now that most K-12 schools are back in session. Usually they'll target some specific state and anywhere from 2-3 to several dozen will get them all on the same day, within minutes of one another.
