Now, every thread I click on this site with news, it starts with a link from X displaying the tweet. It truly is the platform for breaking news. Back when it was Twitter, it seems the PB didnt engage with it to this extent. Its not that news didnt exist on Twitter, its that Twitter turned down the dial on center and right-of-center accounts. Elon has leveled the playing field and now it seems many of you get updates on X first, then bring it here for more directed discourse (or star chasing, no judgment.)

The monopoly of narratives has been broken and its glorious. Keep it up.

I find out about news on X often days before I see it here. Hell half the time it never gets posted here despite it being big news.

It's amazing how out of touch this place is now in comparison to X, which moves at a lightning pace.

Yep, you're not truly far right unless your feed is full of Stone Choir, Fuentes, and the numerous other figures of the dissident right.

We're the group that sets the narrative on X and we know for a fact that the Trump admin pays very close attention to us and likely a number of them are secret anons. All other groups on X are irrelevant. Any post from anyone about any political topic is always dominated by us. So much so that 100% of the responses are us.

What happens here and other places online is always downstream from us.

X has been the best source of information on the planet for a while now, and with their algorithms improving I think their search functionality and 'recommended' (for you) stuff is improving materially. X is fantastic and the best source of news.

But it's also become infested with political larpers having fake arguments that no one is debating in real life. A place where morons convince themselves they are relevant because other morons and bots amplify their comments. The types that think Fuentes is relevant to anything and that they are influencing politics. It's delusion.

Yes and I have greatly expanded my 'muted' accounts this year alone. I think it takes some familiarity, and then some intentional effort, to actually curate it into an efficient tool vs. the absurdity of just a blank social media canvas etc.

I'm middle aged but I doubt many folks over around 60 actually use it for news as such, partially due to the time requirement to get it 'set up right.'

Fuentes is one of the biggest losers on the Internet and the term groyper gives me ****** chills.

On your other point, several times now the trump administration has walked a hugely unpopular idea or plan back after insane backlash on Twitter. There absolutely are people in the admin who are Twitter anon adjacent, and you can tell simply by some of the memes and edits official accounts post. I think it's foolish to not see that this is happening.
