Still don't believe us? Well, people fact-checked it via Grok, and here's what the chatbot told them word for word: "The screenshot purporting to be a 2018 tweet from becklynnpaige88 is fake. No such account or tweet exists in archives. It exceeds Twitter's 280-character limit (393 chars), making it impossible for 2018. Fact-checks trace the hoax to around 2021."

This was sad to read.
The system is broken and I am not knowledgeable in this to know what should be done, so I will ask for opinions.

I just saw this on LinkedIn. This is from 2018 as shown below but posted today.

Did you know that the word gullible isn't in the dictionary?

That's true. The only good sources are the Twitter accounts where the profile Pic looks like something straight out of WW2-type propaganda, and the accounts only came about after 2016 and there's not one Pic of an actual human in their profile.

Wait a second! I thought Obamacare was going to solve everything! That's why we surrender our healthcare to the federal government.

I'd also caution Becky Lynn against publishing stuff like this. The court system does not favor this stuff and her parents' attorneys could face problems.

"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

In 2018 my 75 year old mother on Medicare had a massive stroke. She was life flighted to the hospital and spent 10 days in ICU with multiple MRI's and all kinds of tests. My dad paid about $2500 in hospital bills and a little over $900 for the life flight.

My son was life flighted to the children's hospital in Temple in 2015 from CS. We received a bill for almost $50,000 because the life flight company was "out of network" and insurance only paid $1,900. We ended up settling with the life flight for about $6,000. We didn't have a choice about the life flight. The ER in CS didn't have a child's size ventilation tube or something so it was "absolutely necessary" he be life flighted right away.

In December of last my daughter had a swollen optic nerve. The doctor ordered an MRI. The doctor ordered the wrong type of MRI or hospital did the wrong MRI, so she had to have another. Obviously our fault. We have a bill for nearly $100,000 we are negotiating with the hospital on right now. The insurance paid $1,700.

The costs and fees are all made up and what the insurance says it pays doesn't matter.

So yeah, eff all hospitals and their billing. Ask for a detailed bill every time.

I know what you mean. I had an in-network doctor refer me to an in-network specialist. The specialist sent my biopsy to an out-of-network lab. That was a $6,000 mistake that came out of my pocket. Trying to navigate modern insurance is maddening.

Wait, do you think that means a widow is required to pay medical expenses of the deceased?

How does someone owe this with Medicare and the supplement? How much does Medicare pay? It must be significantly worse than my health insurance to run up that kind of debt.

This. If you've been married for 52 years then you're probably in your late 60s or older. So you have Medicare. So this debt doesn't make sense to me. Unless it's for some sort of uncovered or unusual treatment.

You're at least 70.

You might want to look into that because you should be protected from balance billing for in-network care that uses out of network resources like labs.

If you need me to prove to you that a rage bait LinkedIn repost of a fake tweet from 7 years ago of a situation that doesn't even remotely make sense isn't real you need to make sure someone else is in control of your financial accounts.

I tried at both the specialist's office and with my insurance. They both said there was nothing they could do. I thought that sounded like b.s., but I wasn't sure where to go next.
