I get mocked often for being soft on liberals, but the composite character of F16 gets collective amnesia about my frequent defense of J6 protesters being entitled to Constitutional rights, and the dangers of illiberal lawfare pursued by Biden. Somehow I, instead of my arguments, become the content of conversation, but such is life on f16 and I appreciate posts like this that attempt to poke holes at my reasoning rather than poke holes at me in particular.
I don't have a problem enforcing immigration laws. I do have a problem when the specific goal isn't to enforce the law but to have a show of force against a political rival. That's the whole point of this stunt, its a stunt, meant to send a message of intimidation for political opposition, not make a legitimate good faith argument about gerrymandering nor immigration reform. I would like to see the US come back from a level of discord that will likely result in Balkanization, and see stuff like this as just steering closer to the iceberg.
If anything, this was a show of force to convince illegal aliens to self deport and not participate in US politics.
That is what I voted for.
ICE wasn't harassing any US citizens.
I would like a situation where the US is less antagonistic when it comes to politics. Maybe someone should tell that to Gavin Newsome.
If the Dem state governors are going to be antagonistic the way that CA, IL, NY has been, it's crocodile tears to cry foul when paid back with their own coin.
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.
