Not the same. Sweeney is a very traditional sense of attractive in that her looks are natural. Beyonce is pretty much a freak show. Look at pictures of her 20 years ago. She went from a very attractive and natural black woman to something that clearly has had a lot of plastic surgery, has done something weird to her skin to make her look white, and of course has blond hair.

All a calculated play to earn more Grammy Awards and push the country music establishment in a more liberal -- and more diversified -- direction.

The Beyonce camp knew that the media would exert EXTREME pressure on Nashville and the Recording Academy if she went "country." The Beyhive would scream racism and country radio would cave in a heartbeat. The industry would shower her with awards in country music categories.

Beyonce would then "make country music history" and solidify her position as the greatest artist of all time across all genres.

That's pretty much what happened, too ... except that her album didn't sell as well as expected and many country fans were offended by the sheer cynicism of it all.
