That's what they get for electing Democrats.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Democrats don't care about the law or voters. It's why the democrat party continues to install their presidential candidates no matter who people vote for.

Democrat elected officials are the ones gaming. People are the ones getting screwed.

And Democracy/capitalism is far superior to anything Socialism/Marxism/Communism has foisted on humanity.

What indeed.

It seems that winning back the ballot box is ineffective due to the duplicities of the bureaucracy, the corruption of the judges, and the selective censorship of the media.

We have but ONE box left, and it's getting time to use it.

They've been doing it in OR since the 90's. Starting with voters RESOUNDINGLY voting down light rail TWO times.
They didn't bother to try again; they just DID IT.

Next thing you know they'll ban THC products.

I saw a thread earlier today hoping for the demise of the Democratic party. I don't know if this person was hoping for a one party nation, but this is the exact type of crap that happens when one party feels no fear of being voted out of office.

Republicans in Texas are doing it right now with banning THC, something that nobody has asked for, but when you know you're going to win re-election regardless it makes it a lot easier to take that Dark Money and push through your sponsors favorite legislation.

Elections don't mean sh** in the long term grand scheme of things. We are F'd. But we will always have God, family and friends. Theyre the only things of any value.

The only way to fix this country is by doing something I don't even feel comfortable talking about on here. But let's just say it involves liberals and mental asylums/labor camps.

Very few have the stomach for that. But maybe if libs keep acting like this for another decade or so more will start to buy in.

Great example of how the bad guys in History always think they're really the good guys.

I never said I advocate for it or condone it. Just that it's probably the only way to save this country from complete destruction.

But I DO think a TON of liberals (mostly female) absolutely belong in psych wards, a thousand percent. I'll die on that hill…scientific studies and polling data back that up.

History has never seen such a large collection of twisted freaks that think my daughter should have to compete against young men and change and shower with them afterwards, or that we should be chopping the t*ts off of confused 12/13 year old girls etc etc.

Democrats don't care what you want. They care about getting power and keeping it.

Bigger government has an even bigger price tag. No one is willing to cut government, and so they have to get their money from somewhere. It's a drug and it eats away at the society that puts it in place... but they are so addicted to it.

So… a county level tax on "prepared meals" that the incorporated cities are excluded from? Smells like urban cronyism meets county opportunism in a DC swamp region.

I'm not sure I feel sorry for these folks. While I appreciate the existence of restaurants, it's a consumption tax that's completely avoidable if you brown bag life. The electorate may have struck the referendum twice, but they did put these elected officials in their seats, so it's not like they're completely blameless.

I understand that but this should be easily challenged in court. I think the republicans are missing an opportunity here.

Unfortunately, it's not just Democrats. Pretty sure Florida banned local voter referendums and ballot initiatives on land development. Legislators got tired of those pesky voters blocking developers.

You get what you vote for, if you voted for representatives in the majority. You either hold them accountable in future elections s or they keep going rogue.

Voters in Houston have voted to demolish the Astrodome at least once , but I think it might even have been voted for twice, and yet that eye sore of a rat trap is still taking up space in the NRG stadium parking lot.

One side is marxist. The other is socialist.

The socialists aren't the good guys, but the marxists ARE the bad guys.
