Bradley says two officers are currently in critical condition. Both officers were flown by a medical helicopter to a Cleveland hospital.

Information is all over the place right now, but almost every news outlet covering it are saying 3 officers shot. Two are in either serious or critical condition, one has only minor injuries. Some are saying one shooter was also shot (dead or in the hospital depending on the source). Others say the shooter is still at large, or that there were 2 shooters and one got away and the other is dead/hospitalized. Police are still unable to confirm if there was a second shooter. The known attacker used a "high powered rifle" to quote the gun illiterate media.

So right now the information and thread title is correct based on what the media is reporting. Obviously things can change as more information is made available. I would assume there will be a press conference sooner or later.

"Primary" shooter is confirmed to be dead. Still trying to figure out if someone else was involved.

Of the two officers flown to the hospital, one is critical and the other is expected to be okay.

Attacking any LEO and the person deserves to have the book thrown at them. Try and kill them, the person needs to be beaten to death by said book.

Lorain police encountered a man at the end of a dead end road who opened fire.

The police exchanged fire with the gunman. Police can't confirm if he was killed by return fire or killed himself.

The Elyria Police Department will conduct the investigation.

Shooter was in a vehicle at the end of the road; opened fire when the officers arrived, using a rifle.

No evidence of a second shooter.

They didn't give a reason for the police being there, but it was an ambush situation.

The shooter was been identified as Michael Parker. Doesn't seem to be anything about him online, at least so far, other than name, age, and a photo.
