Rubio has made a fantastic name for himself these last six months. I believe it is momentum that can be truly utilized with him on the ticket.

DeSantis for SOS in 2028 would be a fantastic nominee.

We do truly have 3 very bright stars on the GOP side right now. I hope the GOP can figure out a way to use Vance, Rubio, and DeSantis to put us down the path of a much better future.

Think you're generally correct with the exception that DeSantis terms out of Florida Governor in January 2027. I won't be surprised at all if there are some major openings in the Trump cabinet midway through the term that DeSantis may get slotted for to keep his profile up. It's actually remarkable there haven't been any big vacancies yet compared to Trump's first term (thankfully). DeSantis would make a great AG, SOS, secretary of defense, etc. And completely burying the hatchet with Trump would be a great thing for everyone.

DeSantis has shown the executive experience and ability to get things done.

He's also an intuitive Constitutionalist.

DeSantis could run for Senate in '26 since Moody was only an appointment to replace Rubio's remaining term. Moody could go for Governor then. There shouldn't be any ill will between them if they're willing to go that route. It would raise Moody's exposure and domestic profile too.

no Republican loved DeSantis more than I do

but when it comes to electability I think Marco is more charismatic and a natural campaigner.

plus the latin vote across the country.

I would be fine with Vance as the POTUS but he would have the hardest campaign

(being the youngest, most inexperienced, and tied to Trump but not actually Trump)

The two best candidates are, as of today, Marco Rubio and JD Vance. DeSantis is the next rung down and everyone else is below that for now.

DeSantis is an excellent administrator and would be an excellent President. Rubio has impressed far beyond his time in the Senate. He seems like he'd be good but I don't trust all his domestic policy. JD seems to be the best communicator of the three for sure.

I think JD will have the inside lane but however it goes I would be happy with any of those 3.

someone can check this-

but pretty sure that there is no way the leftists can win the Presidency without them winning Pennsylvania.

or maybe they would then have to win Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina instead.

At this point in time my first choice would be Desantis and Vance would be my 2nd.

Ron DeSantis for me and it's not close. Rubio would be a great VP choice putting him next in line. Vance after that.

24 years with those guys in the Oval Office and they might actually get things straightened out.

Gotta be Vance and DeSantis leading the pack. DeSantis would probably govern better but Vance has more charisma. Unless he has a falling out with Trump (always possible) Vance is the leader for now.

Shapiro (PA Governor) is the best candidate that the democrats could run and best chance to make a run at 2028, but they won't because he is Jewish.

I like Vance/Rubio.

I like Rubio more now than earlier. He does not open his pie-hole unnecessarily and works hard. I like that.

Youthful inexperience is no longer the disqualifier it used to be (see Obama). However, being tied to Trump but not being Trump may be like an anvil around Vance's neck

That could also be a boon for Vance. Lots of moderates who like Trump's plans, but disdain his personality, who abstained on the ballot in the last 3 elections.

Vance is more charismatic and not as big of a tool when in front of the press as Trump. Think it could work to his advantage.

Good point. After the last few election cycles I shouldn't even try to predict what will happen. I've been dead wrong.

So be it. I can live with that. I'm over "vote for the R that can win so the other guy doesn't win". I'm Not voting for the "turd sandwich" so the "breaded turd" doesn't win. I did that the last time and so instead of a kackling incompetent idiot, I got a bumbling moron. Never again. I'll vote for the candidate I think is best and if that means I burn my vote, awesome.
