Good.

How does your second sentence relate to the first? And no the fake conservatives are all about team first.

Fifty percent plus one is all it takes. I wish the RINO's in the Senate were more reliable, but it got done.

What was in the bill, exactly?

Our country is broke. These organizations could easily fund themselves and are liberal propaganda 24-7.

And yet a couple idiot Republican senators still vote for that spending? So dumb and out of touch.

And yet the very same senate passed a bill that makes this country even more broke. But I'll save $400 on my tax bill so that is neat.

Over $20k for me. Sounds like you are not paying very much net federal income tax.

I pay close to $20K total in federal income tax. I was talking about the savings I'll see from the "big beautiful bill"

It will all continue without federal funding . Hoping they are forced to change the names of their networks so that people can understand what they really are… leftist propaganda outlets . Not that they don't have some good musical programming and if they had stuck to that sort of thing it'd be ok but that clearly isn't the case at all.

I'll see over $20k in savings from the BBB. You can always pay more taxes if you want to fund NPR.

I donate.

And if your savings are going to be over $20K, you hiring?

it is shocking to me that the GOP is stacking real victories every day which affect every American and are serious losses to the Deep State...

yet "influencers" are concerned instead about ridiculous "issues" that have nothing to do with what is actually happening in the country today.

this is LITERALLY a cause the GOP has been discussing for THIRTY YEARS and may finally happen!

We actually are hiring a paralegal, but probably not another associate for at least a year. The market is slowing down in west Texas with so many leaving due to the oilfield slowdown.

I was told that the government funding of NPR and PBS was way overblown. Something like 1% in reality? Odd that there's so much noise about it.

How much did SPENDING increase in that bill? What, exactly, was the spending that caused the increase?

As much as I hate those RINO's they at least give us a majority in the senate and they get to go back to their constituents and tell them "I voted against defunding NPR and PBS, remember that when I'm up for re-election."

Now hopefully those purple states wake up and trend more red and primary the RINO's but until that time...

It's completely discouraging.

The three Rs who voted against it claim that rural folks can't get info without PBS and NPR. I guess they've never heard of the internet.

Reminds me of when Harry Reid voted against any reform of the USPS because it was "the only contact that many people have with the outside world".

Probably more like 15% in reality. Plus, NPR stations are located on taxpayer funded campuses, so additional taxpayer subsidies.

It's only 1% when people are complaining about how much we pay. It's devastating cuts when the money is actually being cut.

Sorta like Planned Parenthood with 1% of their business being abortions but all their clinics going out of business when abortions are outlawed.

Collins, Murkowski and ?. I can't find a story on the vote.

Never mind, found it. McConnell was the other vote .

They know networks will fail without guvmint money. Most liberal talk shows failed. CNBC and cnn both are propped up and can't make it on their own.
But typical liberals, they want to spend YOUR money to get their propaganda out. It's the way they operate.
