Well, that's what they claim. Arabs have long played fast and loose with lineages in order to establish clout and importance. Mohammad and his followers did much the same trying to tie themselves to Abraham, but they couldn't really tie themselves in through Jacob while claiming to precede the Jews and Christians.

Their descendance from Ishmael is pretty much bull****.

Other cultures, groups, countries, religions have been trying to destroy the Jewish people since the dawn of time.

This won't stop untill the end which has already been roughly described through prophecy. Those that want to destroy the Jews will finally be forced to submit...but not before Israel endures some setbacks.

It's easy to be at peace with a situation when you already know the outcome.

Israel has been wanting to put a stop to the Syrian government brutal overreach on the Druze for a while now and and stepped in when a fight sparked between the Druze and Syrian government forces.

The US has essentially given Israel the green light to do WTF they want in the Middle East. From Gaza, to Iran, the Houthi's and now Syria they are essentially controlling the Middle East narrative. I'm not saying they don't have a right to defend themselves and protect their interests, they have just gone a little overboard IMO.

Initial rumors coming out of Syria about the initial fights is that Syrian government forces lost control and were committing atrocities. Executions and the like. The Druse have always been more or less subjugated in that region.

IF true, and that's a big if, Israel would ostensibly be justified morally in smacking Syria's peepee and telling them to knock it off to most of the civilized world. Which is the only world we care about here frankly.
