What about the 564 days Trump was still POTUS from Epstein's July 2019 arrest -- 2021? What do you think was happening during this time frame (I'm genuinely asking)? Was Trump simply too naive, following along with if your "file-delete-bleach" thinking is true, and Trump just said aww shucks I hope the next admin has integrity and is honest about these Epstein files. Oh well.

Or perhaps no files exist because no legitimate investigating was done, because no one wanted to get messy, across both admins, and many of those vulnerable to being exposed were quite happy to see it get bleached away, an empty file if you will. Just spit balling.

To be fair, Trump appears to think they are trying to resurrect the old accusation that he was good friends with Epstein, and that is what he appears to be referring to as a hoax. He's understandably a little sensitive about false accusations.

Still, the entire administration needs to understand people are concerned about if there is any corruption or coverup and they want enough jinformation to be sure there isn't one. Failing to satisfy that by telling the public to quit looking into it is a mistake.
