Superman reboot director reveals movie will tackle politics and kindness, tells 'jerks' to 'screw' off.

I have no idea how really woke this is, but the director (James Gunn) claims it will play differently in red and blue states.

So now when it bombs he can blame racism and a toxic fanbase. I'm not sure this has worked out all that great for Disney, you'd think they'd learn from their competition.

I was already hesitant to see this because....well....the dude doesn't really look like Superman material and, maybe I'm not the only one that thinks this, why TF do we even need another "reboot" of this old ass storyline?

Wasn't going to see it. Just confirms it was the right choice.

IIRC he made the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. 1 was good, as was 2, but 3 sucked.

Looking at IMDB, he's done mostly comic book movies.

We already know that a lot of the illegals are our future doctors, inventors, top scientists, etc. Clark Kent just showed us that early on how wonderful all illegals are in helping earth.

This is a Warner Brothers movie, not Disney. But your overall point remains valid.

The released previews dont do a very good job of making the movie look like a cant miss. Lots of bad CGI or whatever equivalent Hollywood uses and any new actor will have a tough time filling the shoes worn by Cavill.
