It's true that the national parks don't technically pay for themselves through these fees, but the economic benefits far outweigh the expense. This accomplishes nothing.

I'm all on board with this one. I've been to a lot of national parks and the big ones are flooded with bus loads of Asians. They are generally very loud and disrespectful of just about every rule.
They need to raise the entry fee for Americans too. Sorry, if you can't afford it, just go to something you can afford. Let people who actually care about nature enjoy it. I've seen lots of graffiti and name carvings too. F those poor idiots. Make them pay.
