It goes a lot deeper. Doctors order unnecessary tests and other rigamarole purely for the Medicare payments. Some will openly admit it. That needs to be stopped, and they need to go to jail or be fined millions. Start making examples out of these crooks.

It's so egregious now that I have started wondering if American taxpayers would be better off incentivizing entities with some kind of bonus/bounty system to report/root out fraud. Something that goes beyond the whistleblower statutes, I'm just not sure what it would take to fix any of this.

100%. Put up a finder's fee reward.

If the info leads to the arrest/conviction you get a percentage of the savings(tax free), which could be massive. If needed, you remain anonymous and/or have access to the witness protection program. This carrot would apply to any and all federal programs and outlays.

Our DOJ is finally getting its stuff together and busting bad actors at an increasing rate. We need this information in a simple to read, rolling database.

I would also include a list of the politicians who might be speaking out or have a problem with the criminal charges. Tie it all together for the folks. The trick is to create a shorthand version of the info, so as not to lose the audience who lack the attention spans.

This should not be difficult and could be VERY effective.

What percentage of our national debt is simply corruption. Corruption running up interest for our kids and grandkids now.

There is a reason every US Attorney's office in the country has a Medicare/Medicaide fraud division.
