Yeah, I appreciate the job Trump has done thus far on this but he shouldn't have made 'Mission Accomplished! Peace Forever! ' statements because the Middle East is an endless religious conflict and any ceasefire there is temporary by nature. Looks like this one didn't even last a day. Any U.S.President thinking they have brokered some sort of lasting peace there has deluded himself from reality.

These are two countries that have shown time and time again that they are going to do whatever the hell they want.

This so called ceasefire agreement was developed so quickly, it was pretty obvious a 101 things could sabotage it. And again, these are two countries whose word you can't always trust.

I have heard him speak and I think it will be a notable achievement if Iran's nuclear program was set back at least a decade without sparking a prolonged conflict costing American casualties. That would be an A+ accomplishment.

Any Bragging though about the events of the last 12 days now producing a long term peace in the Middle East , I put those sort of Trump comments in his greatly exaggerated boasts category.

Wish he'd learn when it's time to watch and see how things go before declaring victory. Think he's done a pretty good job on this so far, but claiming peace and trusting Iran is going to operate in good faith on a ceasefire deal before it goes into effect when they have so many terror groups they sponsor is a bad idea.

I'd bet a good amount that it gets sorted out this morning and things go quiet…

This has the feel of "who gets the last word before everyone calms down"…

Obviously these two countries will have to learn the hard way. They'll be just another couple of zalensky's on the world stage.

If it's still not weapons grade, and the ability to enrich it further has been destroyed, it's still pretty useless, no?

Correct, relatively speaking, uranium does not produce much damaging radiation since it's an alpha emitter (stopped by piece of paper or your skin) and has a very long half life, so it decays very slowly.

Instead, you want a short half-life gamma/beta emitter such as cobalt 60 or cesium 137.

Sounds like a hiccup in who got to have the last word…but being confirmed now that Israeli planes have indeed turned around…

First, think we've done pretty good to this point.
But, if this was a democrat in office and the VP answered the question about the uranium the way Vance did last night, we'd all be up in arms about where the 400kg went.
I think they really need to come up with a better answer for that, but I also think that takes time, which is part of the problem of rushing to declare success.
