Conservatives need to get back to calling out deviancy and harmful behavior. The "he hates the Libs" is not a reason to align one's self with disgusting dangerous people.

I started following Greenwald on Twitter during the Brazilian election fiasco. Not sure exactly what his connection to Brazil is, but often his posts were in Portuguese, which I can mostly read, so I hoped I would get a more real report on what was going on.

He's no conservative, but he also did not come across as looney left. More libertarian. But, yeah, if this prostitution and hard drug use thing is real, bye-bye.

How are we "aligned " with him and what does it matter if we "call it out"?

Rule number 1: Never video tape yourself doing anything, unless it's of a family activity with your nuclear family

Rule number 2: Never post on social media, never share on social media.

Greenwald helped expose the Obama/CIA spying on Americans. He was one of the true journalists who was not afraid to go after Democrats and the three letter agencies. He is definitely a social liberal but has made a career out of exposing government manipulating the media and government corruption.

Not surprising he would end up in a compromising position somehow, and if he did so of his own choosing it was just a matter of time before he was exposed/hacked by CIA types. This sort of thing is also a tool agencies use to hold over reporters and other people with platforms to keep them quiet. Most of the time it would involve bugging room and secretly filming something with a very well hidden camera but in this case it seems to be a self own.

Self styled conservatives bought into the "who cares what you do in your own home" drivel.

Greenwald is an independent political journo who lives in Brazil with his Brazilian husband and kids.

He has had some great takes on a lot of what's been going on in the world. I think, like many, he was very liberal years ago, but has seen the marxist division tactics, socialist power concentrating, fake news propaganda, etc. around the world for what it is and has been calling it out - from covid tyranny to rigged elections to activist judges, and especially the security state/ intel community.

Too bad his personal life was put out on the internet. His fault- as that type of stuff shouldn't be recorded or retained-ever. And conservative voices who have been cheering on his work for the last decade+ have every right to slam him for the personal degeneracy if that's what the video shows.

Sure, it's possible to be a deviant and still be anti-big socialist government, anti-communist, and against most of the progressive leftist political agenda - especially if you're on the extreme side of libertarianism with hard drugs, no laws/no government what-so-ever, etc. .... It's just rare and when it comes out, these types come across as hypocrites.

You're ok with someone breaking laws in the privacy of their own home? I'm not that far off from a legal/personal liberty standpoint. But I do have a problem with this depravity. When you hire a prostitute to humiliate the sh** out of you (literally and figuratively) while doing meth when your kids are in the home…the morality in me has an issue with it.
