Seems to be less of the month long silliness of advertising demented sexual preferences. I think corporations don't feel the same pressure to accommodate this fad.

Net benefit to society IMHO. Maybe we can get back to June being the month for the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Most of us really don't care. I have never noticed advertising for "Straight Month," complete with flags and symbols, so we think the pride month virtue signaling is weird. If people don't want to be treated differently, they probably shouldn't wave around flags proclaiming their difference.

The LinkedIn virtue signaling is still in high gear.

Ironic the original post is indicative itself that most people no longer care (maybe the level of "stuff" is the same, people just notice less, care less) followed by 3 out of 5 posts saying how they do not gaf, snooze and ignore it and otherwise simply do not care.

But certain folks want to call out "y'all" as if folks here are homophobic. Here's a tip, the level of actual homophobia is even less than actual racism. Similar over sensationalized concepts with often fake stories, accusations, etc designed to mislead people that the issue is bigger than it is.

It's ironic how the gays have a gay month, have gay weeks, have gay awareness days, have gay parades, steal the rainbow from the Bible (and a common symbol for children), claim hate speech on truth, force you to call people by pronouns that don't actually match who they are, force gay stories into children's books and movies, and much more… all while saying "look at how mad they are, it doesn't affect them, why do they care?"

Not disagreeing on the pandering, but they do have competition. Both NTTA and Txtag(before they merged) worked in Houston. NTTA is free for transponders and has a much better website.

Must not really be that big of a deal if you cannot even list one. Guess we can call this month off in Texas and move on.

It is impressive that Texas, of all states, has made so much progress that there is literally nothing left to address.

I'm sure my company will have some stuff for Pride Month, but I was surprised when there was nothing about it today on our internal site. Normally they beat us over the head with it starting on day one of June.

You know what's not entertaining? Showing up at Magic Kingdom with your four and seven year old sons having no idea it's "Gay Day Disney" almost 12 years ago. The two other families we were with didn't find it entertaining either. Nor the thousands of other families there.

Why? Because thousands of gays, the vast majority men, poured in to the park in what was clearly an organized and planned event. Many, if not the majority, wearing offense/vulgar t-shirts (including or depicting gay sex acts) and others simply attired like they were attending a gay pride parade in NYC as opposed to a venue that is by design for children and families. What followed was the absolute worst display of public behavior we had ever seen before or since (including taking my sons into a bathroom and realizing the stalls were packed with gay men filming "whatever" the group was doing together in the stalls. We left after that.

So yay pride month. If the goal was to piss off a bunch of parents spending a ton of money to take their kids to Disney, good job. If it were to make a horrible impression of "the community" to thousands of children, mission accomplished.

I don't harp on pride month. I just avoid it. Your message was sent loud and clear.
