If I'm reading this correctly California is changing a rule to allow one additional athlete to advance to the next level. This is to offset the event where a girl gets bumped/beat out by a trans girl. Is this not an acknowledgement than trans women are not women? What happens if 2 trans folks are competing? Do they take an additional 2 along?

It's happening everyday in high schools around the country. Women just got beat up by men in the damn Olympics. It's happening in ncaa volleyball, swimming, etc. You keep pretending this is some obscure issue though. Makes you look very smart and like a very serious person.

When those 20 kids are at a distinct advantage, but they're allowed to compete because people driving policy have their head in the sand saying "they're all the same", there's a problem. It's a fight with 2 fronts. First front is protecting real women, second front is pushing back against yet another effort to try to redefine societal and biological truths so that we don't make people feel bad about themselves.

I have been asking this for a while.

So far I can only guess that once they destroy Womens Sports then they will say that Men's Sports are unfair and that they have to go too.

Title IX has actually killed a lot of Mens Sports by forcing schools to equally fund and support Women's Sports. The more women that drop out of sports the more pressure on men's sports.

My daughter is a D1 runner. She has sacrificed and worked her tail off for many years to get where she is. She is not elite by college standards, but she is still in a very select group. The thought that a mediocre male could take something from her, or anybody else's daughter, makes me wretch on the inside. They don't want to do away with women's sports. They just don't want to deal with the obvious conflict that arises from their ideology. They don't want to admit that trans women really aren't women. That's why people like Touchdown come on here and tell us all to let it go. If they concede that it is unfair and that we shouldn't allow trans women to compete with biological females then they also have to concede that they really aren't females either. I don't think biological men should participate in women's sports. This also isn't in my top 50 list of most important things that I want the federal government to focus on. What I find weird is that so many conservatives have made this one of their top 3 issues and spend so much time talking about it.

If there is anything positive about this, it could be that by implementing the policy, the state is acknowledging that female athletes and their parents have a legitimate complaint. I mean by allowing additional slots to complete, they are admitting that male participation caused them to be bumped out. Camels nose under the tent maybe.

Also, it's possible to have many things we are concerned about and not have them in a ranking system. Maybe you can only focus on one or two things at a time but most people can do multiple.
