Scary that it can get missed in perhaps the most evaluated human being on earth. I mean, the guys been out of the most powerful position in the world for 5 months. Not like he wasn't getting watched like a hawk.
This is the first thing that occurred to me.AgBQ-00 said:
If it is metasticized does it not stand to reason that he's had it a while? Wouldn't they have caught it during his extensive checkups?
Also I hate cancer. Prayers for him.

Cancer sucks.
Would like to take this moment to also give a PSA about prostrate cancer.

So science finally settled the question of "if you don't use it, you lose it"

Same sort of thing was going on with my mom's oldest sister. She was 78 and had been doing well. All of a sudden, she started behaving weirdly and being paranoid. My cousin took her to doctor after doctor for months and no one could find anything wrong with her. After 6 months, they said, "Oh look, she has cancer and you need to put her in hospice now." She was dead a week later. The last few months of my aunts life were awful not only for her but for her kids who had to see her suffer with no answers for so long.Emotional Support Cobra said:
I can't speak to Prostate Cancer, but my dad was diagnosed with a bizarre form of follicular lymphoma. We spent about a year chasing various symptoms. Never had a bad blood test. About a month after diagnosis, the cancer doc sent him to ICU without passing Go or collecting $200 for breathing issues. He died of organ failure 2 days later. Never even got to start chemo or whatever. He was 82 but in good shape for his age generally.
Just here to say F cancer and it can definitely be missed to progress fast in seniors.
I imagine that they knew about it but expected it to be a typical case that isn't aggressive.AgBQ-00 said:

I've heard that statement as well.Quote:
A doctor in my area once observed that nearly all men die with prostate cancer but few die from prostate cancer.
One of my brothers was diagnosed with cancer, some rare form, a couple of months after he retired. I was still working then and generally when I went to the bank drive through, I returned phone calls, or made calls, while sitting in line. One day I called him and he was telling me about how the pain was so unbearable the night before, that he had cried for around five hours. He said he wasn't sure where the fluid to make the tears had even come from after so long a period of crying.kb2001 said:
F*** cancer
If it has metastasized, it's not really beatable anymore. I hope he doesn't suffer and lives comfortably, long enough to come to terms and pass peacefully.
Urologist Dr. Shusterman says it’s “unheard of” for someone with Biden’s level of care to not know he had prostate cancer 5–10 years ago.

It was a full-on coverup:

Biden has bone cancer. He's sick. Cancer is bad.
How did I do?
Edit to add…I'm pretty certain he has had this for years now, but this isn't the thread to discuss the political reality.
Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support. pic.twitter.com/oSS1vGIiwU
