Your moderates need to consider that a few examples of bad apples being sent to "foreign torture camps" will do more to deter the vast crime, abuse, torture, and murder associated with the illicit human trafficking/illegal immigration enterprises than any of their misapplied self-serving 'compassion'.

The proper procedure requires that the asylum claim be brought in the first country they arrive in after leaving their country.

I haven't looked a map lately, but isn't Venezuela still not adjacent to the US?
