Are you sure about that? Comptroller Hegar has done a great job over the past few years making sure no one defunds their police departments. When Dem local jurisdictions start to consider it like Hidalgo in Harris Comptroller Hegar sends them a letter letting them know the consequences under the law set forth by the Texas law that banned defunding the police and the dem local jurisdictions abandon their plans and listen to the state government. This is because of the law passed in 2001.

Your argument to my point has nothing to do with what I posted. It just goes over his conservative record. I was simply pointing out he did not publicly endorse Trump in 2024, despite Trump endorsing him in 2018 and 2022.
