Public execution would have an effect on the crime rate. But those will never happen again.

I attended one execution of a capital murder case in which I handled all of the post conviction writ work.
A female DA friend of mine who had attended an execution said "It will change you."

The execution sort of pissed me off because it was too easy for the murderer. But a firing squad might have bothered me. But that is something I will never know.

I got into bourbon in college, and managed to find a bottle of 15 year Rip Van Winkle. I shared it with my dad. Poured mine straight, dad tried a sip. He then came back about a minute later with a diet ginger ale and mixed his ounce with 12oz of the foul concoction. He never got any more bourbon from me unless it was Jim Beam.

I wish we'd bring back public executions.

Why don't they just use the drug that put Michael Jackson to sleep forever?

Propofol all. I believe it was the one that killed Prince too. Used commonly in surgeries. But that's under an Anesthesiologist
Propofol burns on injection. A truly painless death would be the massive dose of fentanyl that a previous poster suggested. Cheap & effective.

At a minimum, lethal injection should be the same as a general anesthesia induction performed 1000's of times every day in the OR. Any issues with this method are because of the drug companies denying the proper drugs and artificially producing the "horror" stories that we've read about.

I got Propofol three years ago for my colonoscopy. It didn't burn. I remember talking to the nurse and she said, "Ok, we're gonna give you some Propofol now to put you to sleep." I said, "The Michael Jackson drug?!" The next thing I knew it was 90 minutes later, I was in the backseat of my wife's car, and my daughter was making fun of me for asking the recovery nurse to bring me a Makers & Diet.

Here's the real tragedy in this whole thread. A grown man admitting to putting soda pop, diet no less, in their bourbon.

I'm not ashamed. I've tried to enjoy bourbon straight, on the rocks, or with just water. Not a fan. It just doesn't taste good to me. However, a tumbler with ice, Makers until the ice shifts and topped off with Diet Coke brings me joy. Five more of them brings me even more joy.

Sounds like ol' Brad wants his execution to be as painless as possible. SMDH Too bad those he killed with a baseball bat didn't have that same option. Tried to shoot his girlfriend too but missed.

I think baseball 2-3 baseball bats would be more fitting for ol' Brad.

Start with the shins

Agreed. Don't make your kidneys work any harder by mixing in Diet Coke.

I've actually done that and couldn't tell the difference. Admittedly I didn't realize one was safer than the other.
