Yeah, they are not fun. My sister needed a feeding tube for several days after she had a complication from a surgery and could not eat any solid food, nor even fluids. (Her intestines had a kink in them but they did not want to take her back into surgery to fix that as she was pretty weak.) She was hungry as all get out by the time she was cleared for soft food and then gradually to a solid diet.

I eat a Kale salad at least 2 times a week, and love it.
That doesn't mean you can't make fun of others who eat it.
