Those were actual "I refuse to do business with a company that promotes _____," not "I refuse to buy from a company that has people that voted for _____." So there's a huge difference. Besides, that's an actual boycott -- not buying stuff on another day trying to make a point.
If the left wants to take a stand against one or more companies they feel promotes things they don't agree with, that's fine with me. But just THAT is never effective. They need mass media to make that company and the people associated with it appear actually evil. Conservatives don't do that. Most conservatives, with respect to Disney and any of their boycotts, couldn't name one employee or top level executive of Disney.
