Not by this Court. The Plyler court was a 5-4 decision decided by leftist justices, whose opinions are always poorly reasoned and written with a predetermined conclusion.

It's about equal protection under the law. So I assume free lunches and education would be included for illegals.

I think the Mathews v. Diaz ruling puts this EO on solid footing, and is more applicable than Plyler.

Criminals are not entitled to Social Security or other government benefits while they are confined in a jail, prison, or certain other public institutions. Think of the entire U.S. territory as a prison for illegal aliens.

I was a bit imprecise with my language, but you're being willfully obtuse. You might as well say that I'm trying to let them all stay here because immigration laws wouldn't apply to them.

Protections and rights enshrined by law and the Constitution should not apply to those that are here illegally. Of course the laws that protect our citizens from criminals, such as your murder example, should be enforced on those who are here illegally.

But I don't believe those illegals should be afforded the same protections and benefits our citizens and legal residents are.

It's well and good to put in an EO.

How do they ensure it is implemented? What punishment if someone ignores them?
