Now redo the census so that states can't count all the illegals to gain seats in congress

Plyler v. Doe
Yup. The EO as described would likely be ruled unconstitutional due to this SCOTUS case.
Isn't that case for education? Shouldnt apply to federal funds. Also, It is about time to reverse Pyler v Doe due to the hardship on states funding ELS classes etc.
States get federal funds for public schools.

States can generate their own funding. Courts have already excluded some areas.

THAT is unconstitutional.

There is no power given the FedGov to do that.

Looks like Trump is pushing for immigration reform.

4-D. chess Trump is trying to get Congress off their collective ass

And he would sign any immigration reform bill placed on his desk.

Not by this Court. The Plyler court was a 5-4 decision decided by leftist justices, whose opinions are always poorly reasoned and written with a predetermined conclusion.

It's about equal protection under the law. So I assume free lunches and education would be included for illegals.

I disagree with the ruling, just posting it.

Plyer is a 14th amendment case!

While "equal protection" is a term only in the 14th amendment, there is still a nuanced application to the 5th of the same principles

However, equal protection does not mandate identical treatment of different categories of persons.

Im 100% sure this Supreme Court would find the federal government is not required to pay for schooling of illegal immigrants.

It's hard to believe that people are upset about illegals not getting benefits meant for Americans.

We live in a very weird time.

All while our own citizens suffer from drug epidemics, homelessness, mental healthcare is a joke, healthcare is a joke, social security is bankrupt, our elderly are abandoned, and veteran care is in the crapper. I'd really like us to do a better job of taking care of our own before we take care of those who call other places home.

Good thing Trump has announced programs to help all those folks.

You appear to be a very unhappy person, badly suffering from lack of critical thinking.

The programs to help those folks already exist and now can be funded for the first time in years because the liberal, bureaucratic slush funds are in the process of being defunded. But you could contribute some of your personal funds to help those illegals you wanted for voters.

I think the Mathews v. Diaz ruling puts this EO on solid footing, and is more applicable than Plyler.

Criminals are not entitled to Social Security or other government benefits while they are confined in a jail, prison, or certain other public institutions. Think of the entire U.S. territory as a prison for illegal aliens.

they will self-deport.

This is the way. Do this, place an exorbitant tax on remittances to South and Central America, and they will deport themselves faster than DHS can round them up.

Laws and protections enshrined in federal law should only be applicable to those who are here in accordance with the law.

I honestly think they don't care. They play for Team (D), and when Team (D) ****s up, they get pissed and lash out at those exposing Team (D)'s ****ups.

They really think politics doesn't matter to them. Deficit? Whatever. Massive debt? WGAF. inflation? Well, that's temporary. Corruuption? Who cares, that's been going on for a long time.

All that matters to these people is their team winning.

Dumb take. You want illegal immigrants to be able to commit federal murder without fear of the law, because that's the end game of your statement.

I was a bit imprecise with my language, but you're being willfully obtuse. You might as well say that I'm trying to let them all stay here because immigration laws wouldn't apply to them.

Protections and rights enshrined by law and the Constitution should not apply to those that are here illegally. Of course the laws that protect our citizens from criminals, such as your murder example, should be enforced on those who are here illegally.

But I don't believe those illegals should be afforded the same protections and benefits our citizens and legal residents are.
