Quote:

A United Nations judge deceived a young woman into coming to the UK to work as her slave while she studied at the University of Oxford, a court has heard.
Lydia Mugambe is accused of taking "advantage of her status" over her alleged victim in the "most egregious way".
It is alleged she prevented the young Ugandan woman from holding down steady employment and forced her to work as her maid and to provide childcare for free.
Ms Mugambe denies the four charges against her.

Quote:

Ms Mugambe is also accused of arranging the alleged victim's travel "with a view to her being exploited", and of attempting to "intimidate" her alleged victim into dropping the case.

I have plenty of snarky comments on this but will keep them to myself.

Same. I'll limit my self to: "I thought maybe this was a wife or relative of Robert Mugabe for a second, until I saw the spelling difference."

Wonder how she feels about Gukurahundi.

A few interesting things to me. The accused is

African
Female
Legally trained in justice and the law
A member of the UN, the most reputable and trustworthy organization on earth

So it must be impossible that the accusations are true

You misunderstand. They own slaves but it's totally different. It's a kinder, gentler slavery. They treat their slaves like family members. Family members that have nothing, can't go anywhere and must do what they're told.

And they are not racist. They are the perfect representation of the human race.

Let me guess...

At some point this slave owner has looked down her nose at the US and told us we need to 'do better' with race relations or some other humanitarian issue that we are not doing enough in her eyes.

Oxford Crown Court heard the defendant had previously told police she had "diplomatic immunity" and could not be arrested due to her work as a judge in Uganda and at the UN.

Jurors were told the Metropolitan Police's diplomatic team was contacted and confirmed Mugambe had no registered diplomatic immunity in the UK.

Will the U.N. Judge pay reparations. I think not.

I would categorize this as indentured servitude, not the slavery we're used to where a person is stolen from their home, shipped off to a foreign land, and sold at auction.

I imagine between Obama and Biden we have some Epstein-esque arrangements in our diplomatic community in DC.

Hell, wouldn't surprise me if they have gangs of haitian slaves working in the sex trades and involuntary servitude keeping those foreign diplomats and their scuzzy congressional friends "satisfied".

We need a DOGE effort to look at the moral corruption in DC as well.

I want DOGE to show the payoffs from that Congressional Member's slush fund for paying sexual molestation accusers to go away.

No reason the slush fund payments should not be public information.
